Week 29th March – 4th April 2026
1. Programme for Holy Week
Palm Sunday 29th March: a procession of the children and their parents leaves at 9am from the Dun Victor Grech Garden near the Local Council, to the Parish Church. Blessing of palm and olive leaves will be held on the church parvis before celebration of Mass at 9.45am.
2. Every Monday
After the 7am Mass, “Good morning with Mons Victor Grech”, his past sermons and recorded messages.
Tuesday After 6.30pm Mass there will be “the way of the cross”
3. Every Wednesday
At 12 noon, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel opposite the church. Also on Wednesday,Via Matris will be held after the 6.30pm Mass
Maundy Thursday 2nd April
NO MASSES IN THE MORNING, as all priests will take part in the Chrism Mass where the Archbishop consecrates the oils used in administering the holy sacraments throughout the year. There will be only one Mass, at 6.30pm, which will commemorate the Institution of the Eucharist and the ceremony of washing of the feet. After the mass, the Eucharist will be taken to the Altar of Repose in the church, and the church will then be open for personal visits/prayer up to midnight. At 8pm, there will be communal adoration organised by the parish. The following day, There will be available at all times for Confession and spiritual direction
Good Friday, 3rd April:
7am-12pm: Visits to the Altar of Report in the church At 8am communial prayers will be held. And at 9am there will be an organised “Way of the Cross”
10am: Adoration for children and families
3pm: Adoration of the Cross
Holy Saturday, 4th April:
There are no Masses in the morning. Church will open from 7am till 12pm for private prayers The celebration of the Easter Vigil starts at 8pm.
Easter Sunday, 5th April:
Masses at 7am, 8.00am, 9.45am, 11am, 12.15pm, 6.30pm. For the 9.45am mass, children are invited to bring with them their Figolli or Easter eggs to be blessed.

Il-Hadd 29 ta’ Marzu, Purcissjoni mit-tfal u l-ġenituri fid-9am. Nitilqu mill-Ġnien Dun Victor Grech ħdejn il-Kunsill Lokali, għall-Knisja fejn isir t-tberik tal-palm u z-zebbug fuq iz-zuntier tal-Knisja; wara, tkun ċċelebrata l-quddiesa tal-9.45am.
2. Kull nhar ta’ Tnejn wara l-quddiesa tas-7am, 30 minuta “L-Għodwa t-tajba ma Mons Victor Grech”, omeliji u messaggi irrekordati

Il-Hamis 2 ta’ April, FILGĦODU MA JKUNX HEMM QUDDIES minħabba li s-saċerdoti kollha jkunu għall-Quddiesa li fiha l-Arcisqof jikkonsagra z-zjut li jintużaw fl-amministrazzjioni tas-sagramenti matul is-sena. Quddiesa ikollna waħda biss fis-6.30pm li tkun it-Tifkira tat-Twaqqif tal-Ewkaristija, li fiha jsir il-ħasil tar-riġlejn. Wara, isir r-reposizzjoni tas-Sagrament fis-Sepulkru ġewwa l-Knisja u minn hemm jibdew il-viżti personali sa nofs il-lejl. Fit-8pm ser issir adorazzjoni organizzata mill-parroċċa Fil-ħinijiet kollha, jkun hemm disponibilta’ għall-Qrar jew direzzjoni spiritwali.

Ħadd il-Għid, 5 ta’ April: Quddies fis-7am, 8.00am, 9.45am, 11am, 12.15pm, 6.30pm. Għall-Quddiesa tad-9.45am it-tfal huma mistiedna jġiebu magħhom il-figolli jew bajd tal-Għid ħalli jigu mbierka.
